i'm baaaaaaack...

yay, right?

i haven't blogged in about 5 months. it's not that i don't want to blog anymore... it's just that it's been SO LONG and i've found that getting back into it has been a lot harder than i thought it would be. i still check in on tons of blogs almost daily... i've started a few new posts... i really don't know what my problem is.

SO- when going through blogs today, and clicking over to the juice is worth the squeeze, i saw that she was taking part in a "30 day blog challenge". my thought? PERFECT!! what better way to get in the habit of blogging than having something specific to focus on blogging about??? so there you have it... i am jumping on board. the 'original' challenge can be found here...and if you're having the same problem i'm having... i suggest you check it out!

anyways.

on to day 1: recent picture, 15 interesting facts:
(moi)

so there's my picture and here are my interesting (or not so interesting, who are we kidding) facts:

1. i have a sick obsession with mtv's 'teen mom'. normally reality tv isn't my thing, and mtv REALLY isn't my thing, but i can't help myself. i don't sit down and watch it religiously, but i usually catch the 'marathons' on sunday mornings while i'm eating my oatmeal. i'll watch until they start playing 'jersey shore'. that's when i'm slapped back to the reality and turn off the tv. i. can't. stand. jersey. shore.

2. my husband and i have been married for almost three years and we have no desire to have a baby.... yet. a lot of people seem to think that's weird and 'something must be wrong with us'. but, we're too busy enjoying ourselves and each other. ask me again in five years... and maybe then we'll be ready.

3. i might be an alcoholic. i drink too much wine... if there is such a thing. i typically go through a few bottles a week, which is probably terrible for me, but indulging in my apartment isn't hurting anyone else... so why stop?

4. i also have a sick obsession with j.crew. the sales people at my store may or may not know me by name. same goes with sephora. oh.. and the guy at qdoba. he knows my order. (chicken nachos, no beans, queso, salsa verde, sour cream, extra cheese... fyi).

5. i'm a self-admitted music snob and i judge people based on their musical tastes. i would never be 'mean' to you... but if i find miley cyrus, or any other crappy pop, on your ipod... i'll probably think a little bit less of you.

6. i have a serious problem with panic and anxiety, because of which i've had to give up my coffee addiction. for the same reason, i should probably cutback on my wine intake, but i think everyone should have at least one vice.

7. I LOVE JOHN CUSACK!

8. i'm terrified of butterflies, the new york subway system, and the movie 'candyman'.

9. i'm also (moderately) terrified of elevators. i take the stairs whenever possible, even if it means hiking up 5 flights of stairs. i heavily judge anyone who takes an elevator to only go up a floor or two or three... unless of course you have a load of groceries or you're a paraplegic.

10. i love my cats more than i love the human race.... of course, with the exception of my husband, parents, grandparents and a select few friends... then i love them equally.

11. halloween is my favorite holiday. not because i'm into all that ghost and goblin crap, but because i LOVE dressing up. this year i have two costumes. first, for my husband's MBA halloween party, he and i are going as don & betty draper (from mad men). for that costume, i've been slowly collecting vintage pieces from the 50s and 60s and am SO EXCITED to wear it. my second costume is for my sis-in-law's annual party and i'm going as 'raspberry tart'. this costume is less involved, but i am SO EXCITED about that i might have purchased it last december.....

12. my favorite food is vanilla cupcakes, my favorite book is 'i know this much is true', my favorite movie is 'the sure thing', my favorite song is 'safety dance', and my favorite color is gray.

13. in college, i majored in literature and creative writing, because i loved reading and writing so much. but after four yeas of having it forced down my throat, i'm on again/off again with reading, and haven't written anything fictional since 2006.

14. my mother is my absolute very very very best friend in the whole entire world. i talk to her, at least, three times a day and would rather hang out with her than most of my friends.

15. when i first moved to my apartment a year ago, i was trulymadlydeeply in love with it. now, it's so small that it feels like the walls are crushing in on me and I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE. i just wish i knew where it is that i'll be moving too.... but, i'll just have to wait and see where husband finds a job after graduating.

  3. Yay! Glad you're back and doing the challenge! I'm also a teen mom addict...and hate jersey shore. I can watch a lot of crappy tv, but this one was too much even for me!!

PS Don't look at my iPod....my taste in music rivals my preteen taste in tv shows. haha!
