*grumble*

remember last week when i ordered 17 thousand books? well... two of them arrived today, and i was obviously quite excited when i pulled in my driveway and saw them bulging from the mailbox.

the excitement was short lived, as i discovered the first book (snow flower and the secret fan) to be in TERRIBLE shape, and it was discribed by the seller as "very good". this book had the plastic library cover, library stamps all over, the binding is practically falling apart, and it was obviously spilled on at some point, as the ink is smeared and the pages are warped. UGH. none of this was in the sellers discription and had i know the book was this "used", i obviously would have chosen a different copy from a different seller.

i'm torn between sending the book back to the seller or just getting the eff over it, since it only cost me about $3.... and would probably cost another $3 to send back.

woe is me... but i suppose that's the risk you take when you buy used. at least the 2nd book (the diving bell and the butterfly) was in near perfect condition...

  1. Ick. Hate when the used books come all unexpectedly icky. =(

I'm pretty sure I still have my mom's copy of Snow Flower if you would rather read a clean copy.

  4. uh, so did you tell the rest of the blogging community that i got my snow flower book too and it too had a huge stain on it? oh wait, the stain is supposed to be on the inside covers. we're retarded.

sucks that your pages and the stamps and stuff are still screwed up though - shitty feedback is called for and no, no idea how to do it on bn.com.
