i swear i wasn't going to post this blog- b/c i knew full well that everyone else was going to be posting this blog... but, i heard a rendition of that "love and marriage" song played on the radio this morning, essentially making fun of the entire gosselin family, commending jon and monsterizing kate. is monsterizing a word? i don't think so... but, whatever. it even went as far as to say something along the lines of, "nobody will date kate b/c who wants mady?". really? she's a child.
anyways- i guess what makes me so irate is that everyone is quick to stomp on kate; going as far as to say she "deserved" to have her husband leave her. why are people so comfortable with making jon the "victim" in this situation? why are people so gleeful about their relationship ending in divorce? i think it's really quite sad.
i've watched their show from day one- and yes, kate has some ultimate bitch moments, but, let's not forget the fact that she has EIGHT children, all under the age of 8. i am quite certain, that if i were in her shoes, people would probably be saying the same thing about me. i know this doesn't "excuse" the way she acts... but, it should be taken into account.
the other thing that disturbs me is how unremorseful jon came across as last night. even going as far to say that he is only 32 and excited to see what will happen. jon, regardless of what happens with you and your wife, you are still the father of those eight children, and your number one responsibility is to them.
and- what is the sudden obsession with them? none of the other TLC families are stalked and splashed across tabliods, the way the gosselins are. it's disgusting the way the pap's were hanging from trees, trying to get pictures of the kids at their birthday party. this family needs to be left alone to deal with their situation in private.
as much as i love the show, i wish they would quit. i wish they would quit and "celebrity gossip" demons would leave them the F alone. why does it seem that so many are forgetting the real victims of this "story"? eight more children are going to be the product of yet another broken home. nobody should be cheering for this family to be broken.

yeah, there are no winners in this scenario. i've never watched the show and really couldn't care less except that apparently everyone else in the world is obsessed with them. leave them alone to work out their issues. maybe they can find their way back to each other before fame and sudden wealth tore them apart. the kids obviously bind them, but i'm sure being a family again is the best thing for those kids. let them work it out!
ReplyDeletetotally agree with you girl! why is jon such the victim?? i don't get it...he needs to get a pair and man up! ha!
