moi??

my first blog award! actually... i suppose it's really my second. i didn't realize the "honest scrap" was an award at the time; i thought it was just a cool blog game (i'm sorry domestic goddess and yankee girl!). anyways, here is my award:

it was presented to me by V, my sarcastically sassy and wonderful "cousin-in-law"... whom i adore and i definitly recommend everyone check out her blog, *uncorked, if you haven't already. she blogs about her fab "single in the city" life, with just the right amount of angst to keep things interesting- and no V, i will not stop with the cat pictures. you'll just have to keep some extra tissue around for your sneezy nose.

ANYWAYS- with this award, i am supposed to post my top 5 addictions. EASY! here we go... and in no particular order:

1. wine. need i elaborate? i. love. wine. it doesn't have to be fancy- i'm not a TOTAL snob, but it does need to be delicious... and preferably in a cute bottle.

2. books. reading. writing. everything to do with BOOKS. i love them. LOVE. i have been known to stay up all night in efforts to finish a particularly wonderful page-turner.

3. makeup. most notably, over priced "desiger makeup" from sephora, that i really can't afford, yet spend all my money on anyways. it makes me feel pretty... and yes i know the covergirl stuff at target isn't a hell of a lot different... but, I DON'T CARE.

4. sex. this might be TOO MUCH INFORMATION- as both my my cousin-in-law and sister-in-law read my blog... too bad for them. but, i will be kind enough to spare them to details :)

5. cooking/learning about food. this one is relativly new, but i've become quite obsessive about it after my recent move. i find it so satisfying to make and enjoy an amazing meal made entirely from fresh REAL food.

the juice is worth the squeeze- a fellow newlywed and recently moved lady. i love her blog and feel we have quite a bit to relate on!

summer wind- she's a new blog friend, but her blog makes me laugh and i LOVE her style.

adventures of a yankee girl- another midwestern newlywed, who's blog i find quite relatable. she maks me laugh and i'm oddly facsinated by her husbands fascination with skeletons. ha!

and... anyone else who feels the urge to share their addictions! you all know you have them.....
