ugh, pt. 2

i think i may have witnessed a drug deal last night, and now i'm scared to go outside. the hubs thinks i'm crazy.... but, i really think i did!

last night, when we got home from being gone all day, i wanted to make sure there weren't any new tickets on my car, so i started walking over to my lot. there were two men, standing in the lot, right next to my car, who obviously didn't belong there... looking quite suspicious, so i turned around and speed walked back to dave. when i was about halfway back to our building, this woman shouted out, "DID THAT GIRL JUST SEE YOU!!?!???!?".

my heart started pounding and i sprinted the rest of the way across the street. needless to say i'm SO GLAD we live in a locked building!

but, i'm still scared to go outside. am i just being silly?? uggghhhh

  1. sounds like a couple of good "Welcome to the neighborhood" stories. Maybe I should try this to welcome my new neighbors. :)

  2. Eek. Considering the woman's comment, I think you're justified in your suspicions. Maybe time to start carrying mace? Or a small weapon of sorts?

  3. Ummm...no I'd be scared shitless! The two guys could have been doing anything...but the woman shouting pretty much confirms it for me. Totally a drug deal.

  4. I'd be scared! But then again...I won't worry too much :) even though the women shouting confirmed your suspicions, however I'm sure they'll just move locations! As long as you were minding your own business they won't do anything. Take it from me I lived across from project for a year!

  5. meh... nobody jumped me on my ventures outside today, so i've decided i'm probably not in any immediate danger. however, the hubs and i decided it woudln't be a terrible idea for me to keep pepper spray or something in my purse. we live in safe area... but, madison is full of roaming crazies! haha

  9. Story of my life. Or, at least my city life.

  10. Definitely scary, but please note that for years I had drug deals going on in my condo building and in the street outside and have never felt or been threatened. I'm glad the buyer downstairs finally moved so it's not so close to home, but probably if you don't appear to care they won't either.
