*grumble*

i have a feeling that apartment living is going to be putting quite the damper on my love for all things online shopping. i've ordered a few things since moving... dexter season 3 dvds, that were just shoved in my little mailbox, a halloween costume, that i ended up having to go to the post office to pick up, and some makeup that... apparently will never be delivered, as it needs to be signed for and they are just not leaving me anything to sign. i mean, if you aren't home, doesn't ups usually just leave a little slip for you to sign, saying it's okay to leave with the buildings office or something? i really want my makeup!

supposedly, a third delivery attempt is going to be made today. i'm not leaving the apartment until my buzzer rings and i can go sign for my damn package. good thing i have loads of cleaning to do.............

PS. speak of the devil... UPS just came! i guess my whole rant is now semi-irrelevant. although, i'll be thinking twice before ordering online for awhile. what a pain!

  1. Yea be careful with that. My apartment complex office stole my snuggie (blanket with sleeves) that was sent for my birthday. UPS showed that the lady signed for it but apparently it just dissapeared and they couldn't do anything about it.

  2. I hate having to sign for things. It's such a pain. Glad you got your makeup. Hope you enjoy it.

  3. Just have stuff delivered to your office when you start working. That's what I do. When I first bought my condo I had a package delivered and saw the notice on the door. I thought it would say something along the lines of "we tried to deliver it, but you weren't here..." Nope - it said "your package is in the alley." Oh that's brilliant. Anyone else shocked I never saw that package?

  4. I agree with uncorked. I never have anything delivered to my house. I know someone will always be around to sign for packages at work so that is where I have everything sent.

    What was the Halloween costume?

  5. I am with everyone else...all of my stuff comes to work that way I can get it sooner and I don't have to be worried about it being shoved in the mail box or anything else!

  6. I don't hesitate to call in sick from work when I expect a delivery from an online purchase. :-)
